Research Use Policy

LoCo Research Supply provides laboratory supplies and materials intended for legitimate research, analytical, educational, and non-clinical applications. Products specifically labeled Research Use Only (RUO) are subject to the restrictions below.

Permitted purpose

RUO products may be purchased only for legitimate laboratory, analytical, educational, or other non-clinical research. Buyers are responsible for ensuring that their purchase, possession, handling, storage, and use comply with applicable laws, regulations, institutional rules, and safety requirements.

Prohibited use

RUO products are not sold for human or veterinary administration, ingestion, injection, diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of disease, or for any therapeutic purpose. RUO products may not be resold, relabeled, marketed, or redistributed for those prohibited purposes.

Purchaser attestation

Access to the purchasing area requires an affirmative research-use attestation. A second confirmation is required during checkout for orders containing RUO materials. Orders may be refused or canceled when the stated intended use is inconsistent with this policy.

Documentation and handling

Where available, batch identifiers, certificates of analysis, safety information, or other documentation should be reviewed and retained as part of the purchaser’s research records. Purchasers are responsible for appropriate laboratory handling, storage, security, and disposal.

General laboratory supplies

Ordinary laboratory consumables and equipment that are not designated RUO are sold for their customary lawful laboratory purposes. Product-specific instructions and restrictions control where they differ from this general policy.
